Bill's start in the entertainment world was completely by chance. Working through high school at a resort that employed an entertainment service, he got his big break when the mascot, Super Speck, didn't show up for work. As Bill's taste for entertaining grew stronger, he took on the job of
DJ, providing the music for dancing at the resort's parties Performing for various groups from small family functions to crowds of three thousand was the perfect training grounds on which to learn all types of music. Bill was a natural at mixing songs and presenting them correctly.
Under the watchful eye and the expertise of the future Las Vegas Mobile
DJ and Entertainer lifetime achievement award-winner Johnny Rozz, Bill grew into one of the most sought-after mobile
Connecticut DJ.
Upon graduating high school, Bill went to Quinnipiac College. Not only did he study and complete the Medical Technology program, but more significantly, he was the
DJ for the on-campus Rathskellar and was the number one choice for all of the on-campus parties. The school administration also recognized Billís talents and hired him for many of the school-run events including mixers, holiday dances and May commencement weekend events. On weekends he left campus to provide music for school dances all over the northeast. Still working under Johnny Rozz, Bill decided to put his college career on hold and continued what was rapidly growing into his natural path into the entertainment world. Bill worked with Johnny until 1989 performing all over the U. S. including Kansas, Florida, Pennsylvania, California for groups from all over the world.
In 1989 Bill decided to venture off on his own. Working out of his parent's house, he started
"Local Motion Entertainment". Finding work proved to be an easy task, as his previous years of hard work allowed for him to grow a list of clients who continually hire him for their musical entertainment.
Shortly thereafter, he quickly found the need for a more professional office and help with the overflow of work. This need was fulfilled when he collaborated with David Frost Photography and Memories By Michael Video by moving into an office with them in East Haven.
Every facility at which Bill regularly performs is aware of Bill's excellent reputation, professionalism and dedication to his
DJ craft.
Bill has formed solid alliances with many reputable facilities throughout Connecticut, including Anthonyís Oceanview in New Haven, Woodwinds in Branford, The Country House, New Haven, Amarante's Sea Cliff, New Haven, The Aqua Turf Club, Southington, The Stillwood Inn, Wallingford and Fantasia, North Haven.
At present, his list of clients includes such notables as Marilu Henner (Taxi, Annie Get Your Gun), Julie Andrews (Mary Poppins), The Knights of Columbus (Supreme Council), Ikea, New Haven, Tony Sparano (head coach: Miami Dolphins), Eastern Bag and Paper and New York University School of Internal Medicine.
Local Motion Entertainment still presently operates in the same office suite along with David Frost Photography and American Bride Video.
