Hi Everyone!

I just wanted to reach out and let you all know our schedule for the Bridal Shows and Expos we will be attending in 2012. It will be a great opportunity to meet and greet our DJs along with gathering information from the other professional wedding vendors that will be attending. It will also give you a chance to tour some of the premier wedding venues in the state!

Aqua Turf Bridal Show- Sunday January 8th from 11a-4:30p.
-No pre-registration required- register at the door! Only $5!
-Three different fashion shows that day!

The 27th Annual Connecticut Bridal Show- February 4th-5th 11a-5p
-Held at Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford, CT
-Largest Bridal Show on the East Coast
-Several fashion shows and HUGE vendor presence.

Woodwinds Bridal Show- Date TBA but I believe it will be Sunday Feb. 19.
-Check back in for more details on this bridal show, but this is one of the best we do all year long. Do not miss this one!

Uplighting St. Clements Castle 11/12/11

Hi Everyone,

It’s been a while since we’ve posted here in our blog, and a big part of that has been because we’ve been so busy lately it’s been difficult to keep up! This past Saturday we deejayed a wedding at St. Clement’s Castle in Portland, CT for Pam and Jason Dempsey along with setting up the ballroom with a fantastic architectural uplighting display.

Here is a great before and after picture of the ballroom with the lighting, and again without. You can see what a dramatic difference it makes in the overall atmosphere and ambience of the already-beautiful ballroom. Thanks to Zak DePiero for providing this awesome panoramic before and after shot!

Pam and Jason had an amazing time at their wedding with music ranging from Pam’s home sound of Soca and Calypso to today’s hottest hits and great oldies. Dave and Dawn from David Frost Photography provided the photography service and were a pleasure to work with as usual. Also, big thanks to the folks at St. Clement’s Castle for providing their usual exceptional service.

We hope to get some more professional uplighting pictures of our jobs posted soon but also check out our Facebook Fan Page for more weekly updates and pictures. Shawn & Kalina Beibel’s Wedding- Anthony’s Oceanview 8/13/11

It’s been a while since we’ve posted a wedding clip on our blog because our DJs have been out working and having an incredible wedding season. This past Saturday I had the pleasure of deejaying Shawn and Kalina Beibel’s wedding at Anthony’s Oceanview, along with James and Kiva from Love Story Photography. Burlingame Wedding July 4th, 2011 Anthony’s Oceanview

Hey Folks!

Local Motion has been having an amazing wedding season, with one hugely successful wedding after the next. However, this 4th of July Local Motion had an exceptionally awesome day at Anthony’s Oceanview in New Haven, CT. Both myself, DJ Geoff, and DJ Bill were the entertainment for all of Anthony’s Oceanview that beautiful evening and I had a wonderful time with the Maiocco/Burlingame wedding in the Rose Room.

With the amazing meal they provided, the fireworks and the awesome party we had afterwards, it was a truly magical evening. Check out the reception on our latest video blog of Royse and Chadd’s special night. Don’t miss the awesome new Chauvet dance floor lighting we just added to our arsenal- it turns the energy level from average to through-the-roof excitement! Sheehan High School Class of 2011 Senior Prom

This past Saturday Local Motion Entertainment deejayed the Class of 2011 Sheehan Senior Prom and what an amazing party it was!  The students at Sheehan High School are some of my favorite becasue they really know how to have a good time, and to a wide variety of music.  The prom was held at the awesome Aqua Turf Club in Sounthington, CT and they were excellent hosts!

Again, check out the dancefloor lighting and the “dance under the stars” effect that completly transformed the Wagon Room at the Aqua Turf.  Big shout out to Maring Photography for supplying the photography- they always do an amazing job.  Congratulations to all the graduating Seniors at Sheehan and best of luck in the years to come- they are the best of your life so enjoy them!  Please leave comments if you like!  Enjoy!
